We send out a big hug and our best wishes for the new year to all the friends who enjoy our music. In March 2007 we'll have news on our upcoming album, so stay alert!

Yesterday we played at an arts festival and dieciocho chico (week-later reprise of Chilean national festivities) in La Cisterna, where we were able to show some of the new songs we've been recording. It was really great to be able to perform live after so many months solely dedicated to recording. Here are some photos of the performance, taken by Vivian Bergman and Anís Khan.

Quite a few things have happened since the last time we posted news. First of all, we've released more CD copies of our album El Momento through the record label Faro Producciones, and we also have made it available as a digital download from DivineNotes.com on a song by song basis. These are the results of new strategies we are undertaking to help our music reach farther out to more people.
About the recording of the new album En Busca de la Ciudad Perdida (In Search of the Lost City), we were well advanced last year, and to give it a boost we even applied for funds from a national funding programme for the arts called Fondart, which meant a lot of extra work. Although in the end we didn't obtain any funds, we got a good score and were eligible to receive them, only that we were a bit too far down in the list and the funds ran out before reaching us. So we continued recording at a slower pace, but in October 2005 we evaluated what we had and realised that part of the material didn't really fit into the concept album idea. So we decided to separate the material into two albums.
The first one, currently untitled, will be a combination of new songs and re-recorded old songs. The idea of recycling old songs is to give a second chance to songs we like and that were originally recorded a long time ago in unfavorable technical conditions. Nevertheless, for the vast majority of listeners, they'll be as if they were new songs. On the contrary, the second album, En Busca de la Ciudad Perdida, will only have new songs, making it our first album that doesn't repeat songs from previous albums, something we were accustomed to doing.
The plan is to finish the untitled album first, then have a period of live performances supporting the album, and then tackle En Busca de la Ciudad Perdida.
Check out samples of some of the finished songs on the sounds page.
